Easton's Bible Dictionary contains almost 4,000 Bible words with a complete
explanation of its Biblical meaning. The topics are from M.G. Easton M.A., D.D., Illustrated
Bible Dictionary, Third Edition, published by Thomas Nelson, 1897. Due to the nature of etext,
the illustrated portion of the Dictionary have not been included.
Matthew George Easton (1823-1894) was a Scottish Presbyterian whose other significant
literary achievements were his English translations of two of Franz Delitzsch's commentaries.
